Service Technician Lead

About the role

As the electrical service technician leader for Australia’s leading locally owned manufacturer of air conditioning units, you will play a vital role in reducing equipment downtime and improving operational efficiency, safety, and overall productivity:

• Performing urgent, routine, and ad-hoc maintenance, repairs, and inspections across various machines
• Lead and manage electrical activities of entire manufacturing plant and facilities
• Ensure machinery and equipment are maintained and repaired in a timely and efficient manner
• Lead a team of maintenance technicians
• Work closely with other departments to support operational goals
• Be available as a coach and mentor to assist direct reports to develop their positions
• Operating independently and overseeing your own tasks
• Engaging in team efforts for small project works
• Encouraging a collaborative team environment with colleagues

The Successful Applicant

• Valid NSW Electrical License
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
• Refrigeration licence (Desirable)
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician, preferably in a Manufacturing/ commercial setting
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, maintenance, and repair
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Data reporting and analysis skills
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance with regulations
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong computer literacy is essential
