Machine Operator

Our client, a manufacturer of plastic industrial film in Pendle Hill, is seeking Machine Operators to join their team on either a day, afternoon or night shift.

• Full Time Hours on a casual contract
• $34.00 – $44.00 per hour plus Superannuation
• Opportunity for a permanent employment contract after 6 months

Responsibilities:

• Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor plastic extrusion machines used in the production of industrial builders film.
• Production Monitoring: Continuously monitor the machine to ensure it runs efficiently and meets quality standards. Make adjustments as needed to ensure proper functionality.
• Material Handling: Load and unload raw materials (e.g., plastic pellets, resins) into machinery and ensure consistent supply for production.
• Quality Control: Inspect the finished film product for defects such as tears, thickness inconsistencies, or color issues. Document and report any defects to supervisors.
• Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines, including checking for wear, replacing parts, and lubricating moving parts to maintain smooth operation.
