Bookkeeper – Well established business for 45+ years

Full-time | Lake Macquarie | Flexible Hours | Permanent Role

Join a long-standing, reputable business and play a key role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly.

Our client is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to support our day-to-day financial activities and work closely with our Management Accountant and Payroll & Administration Officer.

About the Role

You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial data and supporting smooth business operations across:

Financial Operations

Daily banking, reconciliations and cash flow management
Managing petty cash and term/MasterCard accounts
Liaising with the bank and internal stakeholders

Accounts Payable

Preparing and processing supplier payments
Verifying purchase orders, approvals and invoice coding
Managing supplier relationships and tracking credits

Accounts Receivable

Preparing and sending customer invoices
Managing variations, reconciliations and subcontractor statements
Processing platform-based payment claims
Following up overdue payments and supporting customers with enquiries

Month-End & Reporting

Assisting with EOM journals and reconciliations
Preparing financial data for management
Lodging monthly BAS
Monitoring cash flow requirements

Fixed Asset Management

Maintaining the asset register
Processing depreciation
Managing insurance, hire purchase agreements and service histories

Payroll Support

Processing monthly pay runs
Maintaining employee records
Supporting payroll tax reporting and EOM payroll reports
Assisting with weekly payroll when required

Administration & Executive Support

General admin support (phones, filing, visitors, correspondence)
Executive assistance for Directors and Operations Manager including travel coordination and reporting

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

Proven bookkeeping experience (minimum 2 years experience)
Strong understanding of AP, AR and financial reconciliations
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritise and manage varied tasks
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Experience with payroll, BAS and asset management (highly desirable)
