With a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence, they are seeking an experienced and proactive HSE & Return to Work Officer to join their team. About the Role Reporting to the HSE & RTW Manager, this role plays a pivotal part in supporting the organisation’s Health, Safety, Environmental and Injury Management systems. This is a hands-on position that combines compliance, administration and workforce engagement. You’ll work closely with employees, supervisors and managers to ensure safety and environmental processes are maintained while supporting return-to-work programs and injury management activities. No two days will be the same, with responsibility spanning safety systems, environmental compliance, inspections, training coordination, injury management support and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Work Health & Safety
Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the WHS Management System
Maintain safety records and documentation within Myosh and internal systems
Assist with risk assessments, SWMS, procedures and safe operating practices
Support compliance with WHS legislation, Codes of Practice and ISO 45001 requirements
Participate in incident investigations and corrective action processes Environmental Management
Assist with the Environmental Management System and ISO 14001 objectives
Maintain chemical registers, SDS documentation and Chemwatch records
Support environmental monitoring, inspections and compliance activities
Assist with waste management, spill response and environmental incident reporting Inspections & Continuous Improvement
Conduct workplace inspections and compliance audits
Support hazard identification and risk management activities
Track corrective actions and continual improvement initiatives through Myosh
Assist with internal and external audits Safety Engagement & Consultation
Coordinate WHS committee meetings, agendas and action registers
Assist in delivering toolbox talks and safety communications
Encourage workforce participation in safety and continuous improvement programs Injury Management & Return to Work
Provide administrative support for workers compensation and rehabilitation processes
Coordinate medical appointments and return-to-work reviews
Maintain injury management records and confidential documentation
Liaise with workers, medical providers and other stakeholders Health, Wellbeing & Emergency Preparedness
Coordinate drug and alcohol testing programs
Maintain first aid records and supplies
Assist with health monitoring programs and wellbeing initiatives
Support emergency response procedures, drills and equipment inspections About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in a WHS, HSE, RTW or Safety Administration role
Strong understanding of workplace health and safety principles and legislation
Experience supporting injury management and return-to-work programs
Excellent administration and record-keeping skills
Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
Confidence communicating with employees, supervisors and external stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience using Myosh, Chemwatch or similar safety management systems will be highly regarded Desirable
Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or related qualification
Return to Work Coordinator certification
Exposure to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems
