About the role

As the WHS Officer you will play a pivotal role in fostering a strong safety culture across our company. You will focus on implementing practical and effective safety systems while working closely with our safety committee and teams to identify, address, and resolve hazards and risks to make our company an even safer place to work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor compliant WHS systems
  • Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, incident/near-miss investigations, and hazard remediation.
  • Oversee injury/case management and incident prevention and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Coordinate HSE committee including taking minutes, tracking action items, and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Source, develop, and deliver safety training and compliance communications to enhance safety competence across the business.
  • Generate safety reports, analyse the trends, feedback and propose solutions to improve workplace safety.
  • Maintain and Develop workplace health and safety policies and procedures

The ideal candidate:

  • Minimum Cert IV in Workplace Health & Safety
  • At least 2 years' experience working in a safety position
  • self-motivated with a genuine passion for promoting and fostering a safety-first culture
  • Strong attention to detail, administration and organisation
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
